Basically the S2S tool can be operated well on normal PC-equipment where you are able to watch video and to listen to music. For good quality video transmission, broadband is required.

S2S has tested the S2S tool on the following minimum hardware configurations:

Windows

• 450-MHz Intel Pentium II processor (or equivalent) and later
• 128MB of RAM (256MB or more recommended)
• 1024 x 768, 16-bit display (32-bit recommended) or higher-resolution
• 10 MB available disk space
• ISDN 64 kbps internet connection (ADSL 384 kbps recommended to enable higher quality videos)
• Audio output for hearing instructions in video clips
• TWAIN-compatible digital camera or scanner for inserting digital pictures.

Macintosh

• 600 MHz PowerPC G3 and later
• 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended)
• 1024 x 768, thousands of colours display (millions of colors recommended) or higher-resolution
• 10 MB available disk space
• ISDN 64 kbps internet connection (ADSL 384 kbps recommended to enable higher quality videos)
• Audio output for hearing instructions in video clips
• TWAIN-compatible digital camera or scanner for inserting digital pictures

(Mac) Some features require the latest version of QuickTime. During the installation of QuickTime, please select the "Recommended" installation type to install the components required by Flash. QuickTime can be obtained here.

Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or later for watching the video sequences, Digital Diagrams, 2D and 3D animation, and using the DD/2D/3D Design tools.

JavaScript and Cookie enabled to take advantage of more modern and user-friendly graphical interfaces for the web.
